Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:00 (flexibility required)

We are looking for a proactive and driven Quality Engineer to support and enhance our client's commitment to continuous product quality improvement. This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing/foundry environment, where you will play a key part in maintaining high-quality standards, resolving issues, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of consistent product quality by analysing performance, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement across the business.
Analyse and report quality data to identify trends and support improvement activities
Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, and corrective action tracking
Manage internal and external quality issues, including rejects, scrap, and customer returns
Mentor and engage employees to improve quality ownership at all levels
Support the implementation and maintenance of process controls and quality standards
Produce and maintain quality documentation such as SOPs and quality alerts
Conduct inspections and process audits to ensure compliance across operations
Maintain accurate quality records and communicate performance to stakeholders
Work collaboratively with production teams to drive a "quality first" culture
What We're Looking for:
Essential:
Experience with quality systems, standards, and problem-solving tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report data
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to improvement
IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
Foundry or manufacturing experience (ideally ductile iron)
Knowledge of Lean and root cause analysis methodologies
Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
