How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Solar Operations Manager – Overview

We are working with a rapidly growing Renewable Energy company who are looking for a Solar Operations Manager to join the business in the Manchester area. Since incorporating in 2020, they have accelerated to operating nationally with 60+ employees and two offices (London & Manchester) and a national network of Sub Contract Teams.

The company have gone from strength to strength year on year. They started as a regional based company, initially working in the South East but through various contract acquisitions, they have now expanded to national coverage. They currently install Solar & Battery systems for both their own private clients, as well as acting as preferred partner to two of the ‘Big 6’ utility companies in the UK. As Operations Manager you would be responsible for day to day operations within the Solar division, including management of their Sub Contractor network, diary management, scheduling, improving FTTR, dealing with customers and resolving any issues and complaints and much more.

They are very thorough in their approach to installations, with technical surveyors compiling thorough site surveys, reliable scaffold providers and all materials delivered to site. They only utilise teams which are proven and trusted and as such it is rare that an installation doesn’t go ahead. However, on the occasion that it doesn’t, it will be part of your role to work out why and rectify quickly and efficiently.

As the company continues to grow and expand, there will be opportunities to grow and progress with the company.
