How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Development Engineer

    Company Overview:

    WIKA Optical Sensing Ltd, previously known as Oxsensis, was acquired by WIKA in 2023 and brings expertise in optical sensing technology, particularly for pressure and temperature measurement.

    Your Activities:

    * Supporting WIKA Optical Sensing systems design from hardware and software perspective.

    * Working on prototype solution implementation including hardware assembly and software.

    * Working together with test engineers on planning, setting up development tests, creating test solutions and software for control and data acquisition.

    * Analysing test data (from internal & external testing), writing meaningful reports.

    * Working with component suppliers and sub-contractors for product development and test (validation).

    * Preparing clear documentation for further product development and industrialisation.

    Your Profile:

    Essential experience:

    * Degree in relevant discipline (Physics, Electronics, Systems, Computer engineering)

    * Building complex hardware systems including electronics components, various interfaces and interconnects, etc.

    * Software development for PC and test hardware (LabVIEW, Python, etc.)

    * Signal processing knowledge (signal conditioning, frequency analysis, statistics, etc.)

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    * Ability to go beyond the scope and learn new areas

    Desirable:

    * Electronics design exposure with degree of understand of analog (EMC safety, analog signal interfaces, etc.) and digital part (ADCs/DACs, digital signal processing)

    * Qualifications / type testing of products and new product introductions.

    * Compliance with CE requirements by design/test (EMC, Safety requirements, etc.)

    * Certified LabVIEW developer or extensive experience.

    * Project management skills.
