How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing operation in Tankersley. This role plays a key part in supporting the production of high-performance construction materials, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety procedures are consistently achieved.
     
    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong manufacturing background who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and operating machinery safely and efficiently.

    The Role
     
    As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating and supporting various areas of the manufacturing and production process. Duties will include:

    Operating production machinery including mixers & fillers
    Carrying out blending and filling operations to required specifications
    Assisting with machine setup and changeovers
    Monitoring production lines and ensuring output targets are met
    Conducting quality inspections and reporting defects or inconsistencies
    Following health & safety procedures and site operating standards
    Reporting machinery faults, breakdowns, or production concerns
    Supporting warehouse and production operations where required
    Working collaboratively with other departments 
     Candidate Requirements
     
    We are looking for candidates who have previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment and who can demonstrate strong awareness of workplace safety and operational procedures.
     
    Ideal candidates will have:

    Previous experience operating machinery within a production or manufacturing setting
    Experience with fillers, packing, wrapping, or mixing equipment
    The ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
    Multi skilled in warehouse and production operations
    Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems and SAP
    Knowledge/experience of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out
    A counterbalance FLT licence is desirable
