How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Spencer Clarke Group is currently expanding its team of Tutors in Birkenhead to deliver specialist 1:1 support through local authority and school-funded programmes.
    These opportunities are ideal for education professionals who enjoy building positive relationships and adapting learning to meet individual pupil needs.

    What Does the Role Involve?

    You will provide personalised tuition and intervention support for pupils in:

    Homes
    Libraries
    Community settings
    Outreach learning environments
    Learners may require support with:

    Primary education
    KS3 & GCSE subjects
    Functional Skills
    SEND & EHCP provision
    SEMH intervention
    Confidence and engagement with learning

    We're Interested In Hearing From:

    Teachers

    SEN practitioners
    Behaviour mentors
    Graduates with education experience
    Previous experience supporting Autism, ADHD, anxiety, school avoidance, or disengaged learners is highly beneficial.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

    Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
