How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Repairs Officer - Contract Opportunity

    Location: Site based (travel required)
    Contract: 3 month rolling contract
    Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella) / £22.50 per hour (PAYE)

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Officer to join our client's Repairs and Maintenance Team on a 3 month rolling contract. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality, compliant housing maintenance services.

    The Role

    As a Repairs Officer, you will play an integral part in the day to day operational management of repairs and maintenance services, working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Overseeing day to day repairs and maintenance operations
    Managing contractors to ensure works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
    Ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal obligations as a social housing landlord
    Driving a cost-effective and customer focused maintenance service
    Supporting continuous service improvements across the housing portfolio
    Travelling to sites as required

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must have:

    Technical qualification/accreditation enabling supervision of gas works (in line with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998)
    Strong experience in repairs and maintenance within a housing or property environment
    Experience managing contractors and service delivery
    Full UK driving licence (essential - site travel required)
