How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available, including long-term and permanent roles
    Roles Available: Primary Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants and Cover Staff

We are looking to speak with passionate, reliable and enthusiastic education professionals who are ready to make a positive impact in the classroom.

    We have a variety of September opportunities available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including long-term, temp-to-perm and flexible supply roles.

    We are looking for:

    Experienced Primary Teachers
    Early Career Teachers looking for the right school
    Teaching Assistants with classroom experience
    SEN Teaching Assistants with 1:1 or small group experience
    Cover staff who are confident supporting learning across Primary year groups

    You will need:

    Experience working with children in a school or education setting
    A positive, proactive and professional approach
    Strong communication and behaviour management skills
    A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
    An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for temporary positions. In some cases, the option to make a role permanent may become available at a later date.

    Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Educational Needs and college level, as well as support staff positions.
