A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior BMS Engineer with strong experience in data centres and mission-critical environments to join their Controls team.
About the Role
As a Senior BMS Engineer, you will lead the design, consultancy, and delivery of building automation and power monitoring systems across complex data centre projects.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading multidisciplinary workgroups including clients and key stakeholders
* Delivering BMS/EPMS design and control strategies on major projects
* Ensuring technical excellence across HVAC, electrical power, and automation systems
* Supporting end-to-end project delivery from concept through construction and commissioning
* Managing multiple concurrent mission-critical projects
About You
You will have strong technical expertise and leadership experience within mission-critical environments, including:
* Extensive experience in data centres, industrial, high-tech, or mission-critical sectors
* Strong knowledge of:
* Building Management Systems (BMS / BAS)
* Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) & BCMS
* PLC systems
* HVAC and building control systems
* Experience working across both Design & Build (D&B) and Design Bid Build (DBB) projects
* Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities
* Lead engineering design, R&D, and control strategy development
* Review and evaluate vendor proposals and technical solutions
* Ensure project milestones are delivered on time
* Manage internal teams, subcontractors, and external consultants
* Provide technical leadership across large-scale data centre environments
* Support system design, documentation, and commissioning activities

Salary description
£75000.00 - £90000.00 per year
