How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    📍 On-Site | Packaging Manufacturing Environment

We are supporting a well-established and highly respected packaging manufacturer in the search for a Technical Operations Manager to join their growing leadership team.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operational leader with strong technical Flexographic Print knowledge to play a key role within a fast-paced print and conversion manufacturing environment.

    🔹 The Opportunity

This role combines operational leadership with technical print expertise and is ideally suited to someone who enjoys coaching teams, improving processes, and driving technical excellence across a manufacturing site.

The business specialises in printed flexible packaging solutions across film and paper substrates, supplying high-quality packaging into a range of sectors. The site currently employs approximately 65 people.

Whilst the day-to-day production activities are managed by two experienced Production Leaders operating across a 4-on-4-off shift structure, alongside an Engineering Lead, this position will provide the overall operational leadership, technical direction, and strategic coordination across the site including across production, print, conversion, engineering, and warehouse operations.

A key focus of the role will be leading technical print projects from feasibility through to implementation, ensuring successful delivery of new opportunities, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

    🔹 Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership, coaching, and development across Production, Engineering, Print, Conversion, and Warehouse functions
    • Lead and coordinate technical print projects from concept through to implementation
    • Support operational performance through strong delegation, mentoring, and team development
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess project feasibility and technical capability
    • Ensure operational standards, quality, and efficiency targets are achieved
    • Develop strong communication and accountability across departmental teams
    • Promote a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven culture across the site

    🔹 About You

We are looking for a technically strong and people-focused manufacturing professional with a hands-on leadership style.

    Ideally, you will have:
    • Strong experience within Flexographic Print, specifically on film and/or paper substrates
    • Previous operational management or production leadership experience within packaging or print manufacturing
    • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams within a manufacturing environment
    • Strong technical understanding of print processes and project implementation
    • Excellent organisational, communication, and delegation skills
    • Experience managing cross-functional teams indirectly through department leaders
    • Reprographics experience would be advantageous, although not essential
    • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with a passion for operational excellence

    🔹 What’s on Offer

    • Salary depending on experience
    • Bonus opportunity
    • Opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing manufacturing business
    • Collaborative and supportive working environment
    • Long-term opportunity to influence operational performance and technical capability across the site

📩 If you are an experienced print and packaging professional with strong Flexo technical expertise and a passion for leadership, coaching, and operational improvement — we would love to hear from you
