Salary: £92.63 – £100 per day (PAYE and Umbrella options available)

Are you a resilient, empathetic educator with a passion for supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? ANZUK Education is partnered with a welcoming and highly-regarded SEND provision in Southend-on-Sea, looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their inclusive team.
The School:
Located in Southend-on-Sea, this School is a specialized provision known for its nurturing, ambitious, and supportive environment. The school caters to students aged 14–19 with diverse, complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), ASD, and ADHD. They are fully committed to high-quality, inclusive education, offering tailored learning and essential social-emotional support to help every student build independence.
The Role:
You will provide vital 1:1 and small group support, working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to bridge the gap between students and the curriculum. You will be a calm, reassuring presence for pupils facing emotional and communication challenges, safely helping them regulate their emotions, access sensory learning, and navigate their personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions.
* Adapt learning materials to meet diverse SLD, PMLD, and SEND needs.
* Manage complex behaviors using positive de-escalation techniques.
* Track student progress and collaborate with staff and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience supporting SEND needs (within education, care, or personal settings).
* A "child-first" mindset with high levels of patience and resilience.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
