How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Location: London (with travel across restaurant sites - mainly East London)

    About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to support a growing multi-site restaurant business across London. This role will oversee all aspects of Human Resources across several restaurant locations, partnering closely with operational leaders to deliver a high-performing, engaged, and compliant workforce.

A key part of this role is the training and development of staff across all sites, ensuring managers and employees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to deliver operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.

The successful candidate will play a central role in employee relations, recruitment, training and development, performance management, policy implementation, leadership capability building, and workforce planning while ensuring consistency across multiple restaurant sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    Employee Relations & HR Support

    * Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to restaurant managers and regional leadership teams.

    * Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary processes, grievances, absence management, investigations, and performance concerns.

    * Support managers in conflict resolution and fostering a positive workplace culture.

    * Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently across all sites.

    Recruitment & Talent Management

    * Lead recruitment activities for restaurant and head office positions, including attraction, interviewing, onboarding, and retention strategies.

    * Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing requirements and reduce vacancies.

    * Develop succession planning initiatives and internal career progression pathways.

    Training, Learning & Staff Development

    * Design, implement, and oversee training and development programmes across all restaurant sites.

    * Identify skills gaps and training needs through regular engagement with managers and performance reviews.

    * Coordinate onboarding, inductions, and role-specific training for new starters.

    * Deliver and/or facilitate management development, leadership coaching, customer service, compliance, and people management training.

    Multi-Site Workforce Management

    * Support multiple restaurant locations, ensuring consistent HR standards and people practices.

    * Conduct regular site visits to build strong relationships with managers and teams.

    * Analyse workforce trends including turnover, absence, retention, performance, and staffing needs.

    * Drive employee engagement initiatives across geographically dispersed teams.

    Compliance & Policies

    * Ensure compliance with UK employment law and HR best practice.

    * Maintain employee records and HR documentation in line with GDPR requirements.

    * Review, implement, and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.

    * Support right-to-work checks, safeguarding responsibilities, and employment compliance processes.

    Skills & Experience Required

    * Proven experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role, ideally within hospitality, restaurants, retail, leisure, or another fast-paced multi-site environment.

    * Demonstrated experience in staff training, learning and development, or leadership coaching.

    * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

    * Demonstrated ability to support multiple operational sites and stakeholders.

    * Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.

    Qualifications

    * CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred) or equivalent HR experience.

    * Experience designing or delivering staff training programmes is desirable.

    * Full UK working rights
