Assistant Designer

The Company:
An excellent opportunity for a Graduate/ Assistant Designer, to join a growing design team who create trend driven products for high street retailers. The ideal candidate will have a Design degree, strong CAD and excel skills.

The company supply clients such as ASOS, Frazer Group, Urban Outfitters etc with a market in the UK, America, Europe and building a customer base in Australia. They have great modern offices, a friendly, fun atmosphere and the chance to progress your career as the company’s success grows.

The Role:

Working as part of the Design team & reporting to the Designer Manager

Helping with day-to-day duties and tasks

Logging in samples as they arrive into the office

Help team members create tech packs for new developments

Completing trend research

Design work when requested, such as cadding

Work closely with factories to ensure samples and lead times are not delayed.

Commercially aware of current trends and themes.

Developing the brand to ensure all products are designed in line with the customers’ direction.

Managing the critical path and working to tight deadlines.

Supporting the business in adding value to its clients.

Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

Fashion Design Degree

MUST have strong CAD skills.

Good knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel.

Be organised with the ability to manage a workload & prioritise where required.

Be creative, enthusiastic & trend driven

Good written and verbal communication across all levels.
