Brake Press Setter / Team Leader

Proactive Personnel ltd are looking to recruit an experienced Brake Press Setter/Team Leader for our client based in the Stevenage area. To be considered for this role, you must have experience as a Brake Press setter and have some leadership experience.

Role: Key requirements for the role are as follows:

* To have experience in programming, setting and operating Bystronic and Promecam brake press machines

* To have a good understanding of sheet metal work processes

* To have a full understanding of technical drawings

* To supervise a team of Brake Press operators and distribute work

* To set up and operate the brake press machines to achieve maximum output and quality.

* To check quality and dimensions

* To carry out daily operational checks

* To work under the Health and Safety guidelines

We are looking for someone who has:

* 2-3 years’ experience of sheet metalwork/fabrication and brake press operation

* Ability to work individually and as part of a team

* Ability to sort and prioritise workload

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to maintain a calm demeanour

* Good knowledge of materials

* Capable of working under pressure to a deadline.

Hours of work:

08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 16:00 Finish on Friday.
