Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Active Recruitment are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for a number of supportive and welcoming Secondary Schools across Tower Hamlets and Newham.
These Teaching Assistant positions are available for September 2026, with some schools also looking for staff to start immediately.

The schools are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistants who can support students across KS3 and KS4 both inside and outside of the classroom.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Supporting students during lessons across a range of subjects
* Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
* Assisting pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs
* Helping students remain engaged and focused in lessons
* Supporting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour management
* Encouraging positive learning and student confidence
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children or young people
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, Behaviour Mentor or Tutor is desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm, patient and adaptable approach
* Passionate about education and helping students succeed
