How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Primary Supply Teacher - Flexible Opportunities (September Starts Available)
    Location: Congleton, Stoke-on-Trent & surrounding Staffordshire areas
    Contract: Flexible / Day-to-Day Supply | Long-Term Opportunities Available
    Start Dates: Immediate & September 2026 Starts Available

    Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a number of primary schools across Congleton, Stoke-on-Trent, and Staffordshire who are looking for qualified teachers to support on both a supply and long-term basis.

    We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable teachers who are passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils' progress across the primary age range.

    Supply teaching is ideal for teachers looking for flexibility, variety, or opportunities to gain experience across a range of school settings, while still having the option of securing longer-term placements for the new academic year.

    Roles are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preferences.

    We are also very keen to hear from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience, build confidence across different settings, and secure opportunities for September.

    Responsibilities

    Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
    Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
    Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
    Work collaboratively with school staff and support teams
    Mark and assess work where required

    Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    Experience teaching within UK primary schools (ECTs welcome)
    Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
    Ability to provide two references covering the last two years of employment history
    An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

    Pay

    £120 - £170 per day (dependent on experience, scale, and responsibilities)
