Location: Newport

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a hands-on, reliable General Maintenance Operative to join our clients growing facilities team supporting a range of commercial sites across the UK.

This is a varied and practical role where no two days are the same, covering everything from planned upkeep to reactive repairs across self-storage facilities, office spaces, and retail locations.

The role:

General building maintenance and repairs (including roofing and cladding)
Plumbing repairs and basic installations
Joinery and carpentry work
Painting and decorating tasks
Tiling and flooring repairs, including carpets
External works such as paving and drainage maintenance
Grounds upkeep and general site clearance
Pressure washing external areas
Furniture assembly, relocation and removal
Supporting both planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
About you:

At least 3 years' experience in building maintenance or similar multi-skilled trade role
NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent qualification)
Experience with roofing and cladding (desirable)
CSCS card (advantageous but not essential)
Full UK driving license
Ability to work independently and manage own workload
Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines
Competent using IT systems to log work completed and associated costs
Good understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessment awareness
