How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A well-established residential developer and main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its growing construction team. The business delivers high-quality residential developments across London, including mixed-use schemes, apartment developments, and large-scale regeneration projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery by managing and controlling all project documentation through Procore and other document management systems. You will ensure accurate, up-to-date information is distributed across site and project teams, supporting efficient project delivery and maintaining compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Document Controller to join a reputable contractor with long-term secured work, strong growth plans, and genuine career progression opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

Manage all project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, O&M manuals, and handover documentation
Ensure the latest approved construction drawings and documents are issued to site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
Maintain strict document and revision control procedures to prevent the use of superseded information on site
Control incoming and outgoing documentation from architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Administer and manage workflows within Procore and other document management systems
Upload, maintain, and accurately track all project documentation throughout the build process
Monitor RFIs, technical submissions, drawing revisions, and approvals to ensure timely responses
Coordinate with project teams to establish and maintain folder structures, permissions, and filing systems in line with project requirements
Act as the central point of contact for document control across live residential construction projects
Liaise with site managers, technical teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth document flow
Support project meetings by preparing and distributing document packs, trackers, and reports
Assist with quality assurance procedures, audit trails, and project handover documentation
Identify delays or bottlenecks in approvals that may impact construction progress
Provide support and guidance to project stakeholders using Procore systems
    What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in document control within residential construction projects
Strong hands-on experience using Procore (essential)
Experience working for a residential developer, main contractor, or subcontractor
Solid understanding of construction drawings, technical documentation, and approval processes
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site and project environment
Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Experience managing document numbering conventions and metadata standards
Familiarity with QA processes, handover documentation, and audit requirements
Knowledge of additional platforms such as SharePoint is advantageous
    What’s on Offer

Opportunity to join a growing and well-established residential developer / contractor
Exposure to high-profile residential and mixed-use developments across London
Long-term career progression within a stable and expanding business
    Collaborative and supportive working environment
Competitive salary package depending on experience
