The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior M&E Project Manager – Milton Keynes
    Up to £70,000 plus car and bonus

    A long established and growing regional contractor is appointing a Senior M&E Project Manager to lead a strong pipeline of mechanical and electrical projects across Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area. This is a senior management team role with responsibility for delivery standards, commercial performance and operational leadership across multiple live schemes.

    The position suits an experienced M&E Project Manager with a proven background delivering both mechanical and electrical installations across commercial and general contracting environments. The role offers long term progression, influence at senior level and the opportunity to shape project delivery within a stable, ambitious business.

    This Senior M&E Project Manager role suits someone with strong experience delivering mechanical and electrical projects across commercial, warehouse, industrial and general contracting environments in and around Milton Keynes. The position requires proven leadership within M&E project delivery, commercial management, cost control, planning, reporting and client communication. Experience managing multiple live projects, supervising teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring full compliance with technical and safety standards is essential. Strong understanding of M&E installations, project programming, procurement, valuations, final accounts and overall project delivery is important, along with a background working for M&E contractors or similar organisations across Buckinghamshire and the Home Counties.

    Role Overview
    The Senior M&E Project Manager will lead projects from initial survey through to completion, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery. Projects include commercial units, warehouses, light industrial sites and general contracting environments. There is no residential work. The business considers candidates from M&E contractors, electrical contractors, mechanical contractors or client side estates and facilities teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    Lead the planning, design and delivery of mechanical and electrical projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget
    Produce and maintain project programmes, schedules, resource plans and procurement requirements
    Provide senior leadership to project teams, supporting supervisors, engineers and subcontractors
    Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, technical standards and legal regulations
    Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance and forecast costs to achieve target margins
    Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and internal teams, ensuring project scope and expectations are met
    Monitor project progress, adjust resources and priorities as required and ensure all work meets quality, technical and compliance standards
    Prepare and deliver senior level progress, commercial and financial reports
    Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams to support successful project delivery
    Contribute to wider business planning and operational improvement as part of the senior management team

    Ideal Candidate Profile
    Experienced M&E Project Manager with a background delivering both mechanical and electrical projects
    Strong understanding of commercial, warehouse and industrial installations
    Demonstrable experience in project planning, commercial management, reporting and cost control
    Confident managing multiple concurrent projects and making decisions on site
    Organised, proactive and clear in communication, with strong documentation and reporting skills
    Full UK driving licence
    Ambitious, commercially aware and ready to operate at senior management level
