Process Engineer

Process Engineer, £35,000 – £45,000, Leicester, 4-day week

* £35,000 to £45,000 salary guide (depending on experience) + company pension + 25 days holiday.

* Permanent days role. 35-hour week, Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:15pm.

* Established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-quality components into aerospace, automotive and industrial sectors.

Are you a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineer looking to play a key role improving machining and assembly processes within a growing engineering business?

Your background as a Process Engineer:

* Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering, or similar practical experience.

* Experience supporting manufacturing or production processes within an engineering or industrial environment.

* Strong understanding of process improvement, production efficiency and problem solving.

* Experience working with machining, assembly or production operations.

* Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

* We are happy to consider engineers who are 2–5 years into their career and looking to develop further.

Process Engineer responsibilities:

* Develop and improve manufacturing processes to support quality, delivery, cost and safety objectives.

* Support machining and assembly operations through process definition, tooling, fixtures and technical documentation.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction and operational efficiency.

* Support NPI and DFM activities, including process development and operator training.

* Analyse manufacturing workflows and production data to identify improvement opportunities.

* Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding tooling, equipment and manufacturing capability.

* Ensure manufacturing activities comply with quality standards and health & safety legislation
