How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Agricultural Service Engineer - Crop Sprayer Specialist

    Are you an experienced Agricultural Engineer with a skill for diagnostics?

    Location of the Job:

    20% based from the depot in Worcestershire.
    80% field based covering the West Midlands, Wales and South of England.

    Salary and Benefits Package:

    Competitive Salary: Paying up to £45,000+ per annum.
    Overtime: Overtime rates paid after 40 hours.
    Company Vehicle: Fully equipped service van.

    Tools provided: All specialist tools required for the job.

    25 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays.

    Additional information:

    This is a permanent full-time position.

    Key Responsibilities:
    You will…

    Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on specialist agricultural machinery.
    Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.
    Preform pre-season checks and post-season overhauls.
    Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, service reports and job cards.
    Provide technical advice and support to customers when needed.

    Strong diagnostic abilities across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault finding.
    Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
    A high degree of self-motivation, reliability and the ability to work independently or as a team.
    Welding and fabrication skills also a massive bonus.
