Multi-Trade Operative (Permanent)

Location: Essex-based (covering London, Kent, East Anglia & surrounding regions)
Salary: £33,000 - £39,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for 2-3 experienced Multi-Trade Operatives to join a growing and well-established property services company. The role involves working across a mix of social housing and private residential developments, supporting national housebuilders and housing associations.

Projects include work with leading developers and housing providers such as Orbit Homes, Golding Homes, Bellway, Barratt, Crest Nicholson, Redrow, and Chartway.

This is a customer-facing role, requiring high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and the ability to work independently across a variety of locations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a wide range of multi-trade works (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics, plastering, repairs, and finishing works)
Undertake works in both occupied properties and new-build plots
Deliver high-quality repairs, maintenance, and finishing tasks
Represent the business in a professional and customer-friendly manner
Manage workloads independently based on job allocations
Communicate progress updates and complete tasks within agreed timeframes
Use initiative to complete jobs efficiently and to specificationWork Planning & Travel

Jobs are surveyed and scheduled by the management team, with operatives assigned accordingly
Work is regionally allocated where possible to reduce travel time
Areas covered include Essex, London, Kent, Norwich, Harlow, Bishop's Stortford, Stevenage, Buckinghamshire, and surrounding areas
Flexibility is required as work locations may varyWorking Hours

Typical working hours on-site: 9:00am - 4:00pm (customer-facing work)
Flexibility required depending on job completion
Early finishes possible, while still receiving full day pay
Operatives are expected to use initiative to complete tasks efficiently (e.g. finishing jobs rather than returning the next day)Salary & Benefits

£33,000 - £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Company vehicle provided
Fuel expenses covered (weekly reimbursement - submitted Thursday, paid Friday)

Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative
Strong all-round skillset (e.g. first fix, second fix, general finishing)
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and manage workloads
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Professional, reliable and presentable
Experience working within social housing or new-build environments is highly desirableInterview Process
