How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Humanities Teacher – Immediate or September Start | Long-Term Opportunity

    We are looking for an engaging and passionate teacher who can bring Humanities to life in the classroom and inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning. Whether you specialise in Geography, History, Religious Education or have experience teaching across multiple Humanities subjects, we would love to hear from you.
    This opportunity would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to further develop their careers within a supportive and welcoming school environment.
    The Role:
    As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across the Humanities curriculum while creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged and motivated to succeed.
    Responsibilities will include:

    Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4
    Teaching within your specialism and wider Humanities subjects where required
    Monitoring, assessing and tracking student progress
    Differentiating learning to support students of varying abilities
    Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
    Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
    Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to the wider school communityThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
    Experience teaching Humanities within a secondary school setting
    Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    A passion for Humanities and inspiring young people
    Excellent communication and organisational skills
