How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A massive opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a global company based in Kidderminster. With an annual turnover of £3.5 billion my client is the world market leader in its sector. They have over 200 plants worldwide in over 30 different countries, including 16 in the UK.

    My client is looking for an engineer who may have finished their electrical qualifications and looking for a company to take them to the next level. You will work with them on their 4 on / 4 off continental shift at one of their biggest UK sites. They will develop you and train you in becoming a fully-fledged maintenance electrician, with PLC programming courses and mentorship from engineers they have on site.     Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

    Maintenance Engineer Duties:

    * 4 on / 4 off Continental Shift.

    * Install and/or maintain plant machinery.

    * Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system.

    * Fault finding and repairing any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems.

    * Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition.

    * Program all Siemens & other PLC equipment.

    * Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.

    Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

    * Electrically trained or hold an electrical qualification.

    * 18th edition (advantageous).

    * Manufacturing or facilities background.

    * PLC knowledge (Advantageous)

    * Hard working, willing to learn and flexible.
