How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Sustainability Manager (ESG)

    The Opportunity

We are one of London’s leading commercial cleaning and associated services providers — and proudly London’s most awarded cleaning company in 2024, as well as European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2025 winners: Best Company to Work For.

Founded in 1986, we’ve grown with our family values intact, pairing a genuinely people-first culture with innovation, operational excellence, and outstanding customer care.

    The Role

The Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing and implementing robust sustainability initiatives across strategic client sites across the company portfolio. This role blends strategy, team and client relationship management, and on-the-ground delivery, requiring a strong grasp of ESG principles and the ability to translate them into credible, measurable, and value-aligned actions.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, service partners, and clients, the Sustainability Manager will ensure all sustainability programmes are tailored, impactful, and aligned with both ESG regulatory requirements and the Group’s Global Planet 2030 objectives.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    Strategy and Implementation

    * Develop and implement bespoke sustainability strategies tailored to site-specific or client-specific needs, including any ESG KPIs agreed during bids or contractual renewal.

    * Support the creation of organisational-wide sustainability policies, procedures and strategies.

    * Independently manage and deliver sustainability initiatives, balancing client priorities with internal goals.

    Client Engagement & Relationship Management

    * Serve as a sustainability advisor and representative in client-facing forums, helping shape material topics and long-term sustainability direction.

    * Attend and contribute to monthly and quarterly KPI meetings, providing clear sustainability updates to clients.

    * Translate complex sustainability concepts into persuasive and accessible communication for clients, occupiers, and internal teams.

    Sustainability Reporting

    * Lead operational carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) for machinery, materials, and consumables, in line with GHG Protocol, supporting SBTi-aligned target setting.

    * Develop and maintain TOMs-aligned social value reporting tools to assess and demonstrate impact.

    * Produce sustainability performance reports for clients, including input into award submissions and formal sustainability and ESG disclosures.

    Stakeholder Training and Communication

    * Support awareness-raising through ESG officer programmes, training, and internal comms.

    * Contribute sustainability content for social media and stakeholder updates, in collaboration with the communications team.

    * Speak at internal or client events to represent sustainability priorities and share progress with wider audiences.

    Partnerships and Charitable Engagement

    * Build and sustain partnerships with local charities, ensuring social initiatives are credible, community-led and aligned with client expectations.

    * Develop and deliver social engagement calendars that involve cleaning teams, clients and service partners.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support

    * Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., HR, procurement, operations) to integrate sustainability into daily business activities.

    * Support Account Directors when required to advise on sustainability or contribute to bids, reports, or award submissions.

    What We’re Looking For

    Essential

    * Experience in sustainability, ESG, sustainability, or environmental management (corporate or operational setting)

    * Experience working directly with clients to shape sustainability approaches

    * Proven ability to develop and implement sustainability strategies independently

    * Familiarity with Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon calculations (GHG Protocol)

    Desirable

    * Understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, CDP, ISSB)

    * Professional certification in sustainability or ESG (IEMA, ISSP, etc.)

    * Experience with TOMs framework or social value accounting

    * Professional certification in sustainability or ESG (ISEP, ICRS, ISSP, etc.)

    * Experience with Environmental and Energy Management Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 50001)

    The Package

    * Up to £60k Basic

    * Based at our London Head Office with London Travel

    * 35 days holiday including bank holidays
