Proposals Engineer

Due to forward planning and our commitment to achieve continued growth and success, we are currently looking to recruit a permanent Proposals Engineer.

Reporting directly to the Internal Sales Manager the successful candidate would be required to have a minimum of five years’ experience within an Engineering estimating role with experience in medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects. Demonstrating a competency, through experience, in the production to prepare sales estimates/quotations and win customer orders.

The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding and experience in the following:

* Preparation of estimates and quotations.

* A good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.

* Sourcing of materials and components to compile accurate estimates.

Skills & attributes required for the role:

* Proven estimating experience within an engineering background.

* Experience within fabrication and machining disciplines.

* Good communication skills both verbal and written.

* Attention to accuracy and detail.

* Ability to work to deadline.

* Well organised and methodical.

* Enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.

* Competency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

This permanent position offers an excellent remuneration package including the following benefits:

* Salary will be dependent upon experience

* 37 hour working week

* 33 days holiday per year (25 days + 8 statutory)
