How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role teaching History Teacher in a school located in Southwark?

    Tradewind Recruitment are pleased to be working with this Client, a successful and well-respected secondary school in Southwark, in their search for a talented and passionate History Teacher to join their thriving Humanities department from September. This is a full-time fixed term position for 1 full academic year, with interviews being arranged immediately.

    The successful History Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate. You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative Humanities team committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of History and develop critical thinking skills.

    The ideal candidate will:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
    Have experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
    Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History
    Be able to deliver engaging, differentiated and challenging lessons
    Have strong classroom management skills and high expectations of student achievement
    Be committed to supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils
