About the Role and Key Responsibilities
As a Geography Teacher working with TailorEDucation, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality geography lessons that inspire pupils to develop an understanding of the world around them.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons across Key Stages, assessing pupil progress, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic achievement and curiosity about geographical topics and global issues.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Geography across relevant key stages
Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
Encouraging pupils to develop critical thinking and environmental awareness
Contributing to the wider school community and departmental activities where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Geography within UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education
Excellent classroom management skills
The ability to motivate and inspire learners
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
