Class 2 HGV Driver (HIAB Essential)

BLM Building Supplies is a busy, customer-focused builders’ merchant supplying quality materials to trade and domestic customers. We are looking for an experienced and professional Class 2 HGV Driver with a valid HIAB licence to join our team.
The Role
As a key member of our transport team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to customers across the local area. Operating a HIAB crane will form a core part of your daily duties, so confidence and competence with remote crane operation is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver building materials to trade and retail customers
*
Safely operate HIAB crane for offloading deliveries
*
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
*
Ensure loads are secure and compliant with regulations
*
Obtain proof of delivery and maintain accurate paperwork
*
Provide excellent customer service at all delivery sites
*
Support yard operations when required
Essential Requirements
*
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
*
Valid CPC qualification
*
Digital Tachograph Card
*
Valid HIAB licence (remote) – essential
*
Experience delivering building materials or similar heavy products
*
Good understanding of health & safety procedures
*
Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude

Summer April - September
* Week 1: Monday to Friday, 06:30 to16:30
* Week 2: Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 16:30 & Saturday, ​08:00 -12:00
Winter October - March
* Monday to Friday, 06:30 to16:30
