How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About the School - Charterhouse Square:
Charterhouse Square is a non-selective, co-educational independent school based in the City of London for students aged 3-11 years. The school has excellent transport links, with the Elizabeth line, Farringdon mainline and Barbican tube all within a 5-minute walk. With a friendly and unpretentious approach, Charterhouse Square School offers education from Nursery and Early Years through to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

At Charterhouse Square School we believe a happy and stimulating learning environment is fundamental to academic success. Students achieve exceptional academic results at 11+ from a broad and balanced curriculum, with a strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy but with ample time also dedicated to physical education and the arts.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wrap Manager & Head of Sports to join our fantastic team.

    About Cognita:
Cognita is a global leader in independent education. Founded in 2004, we are a growing community of 90 schools in 21 countries - in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East - serving more than 100,000 students. Each of our schools are proudly unique, however our collective purpose is to create an environment where everyone can, "Thrive in a rapidly evolving world".

At Cognita, we know every student is unique. We nurture their distinct personalities and strengths. We support them academically, socially, and emotionally, wherever they are in the world, wherever they're starting from. And each and every one of our schools is unique too.

We protect what's special about them, while offering them rich knowledge, opportunities, and best practices. And they get to be part of something bigger. We open their classrooms to the collective wisdom of over 90 schools in 21 countries, ensuring every child gets an education that's, quite literally, world class.

It's an individual approach that empowers every school, teacher and student to focus on what they do best and thrive.

    About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as Wrap Manager and Head of Sports, leading the development of a vibrant and enriching programme beyond the classroom. This role is central to delivering high-quality wraparound and holiday provision, ensuring pupils benefit from engaging, educational experiences outside of school hours. The successful candidate will shape and manage a dynamic programme tailored to the needs and interests of pupils and families, while overseeing staff, enrichment activities, and day-to-day operations. As Head of Sports, you will drive excellence in the teaching of PE and sport, fostering confidence, resilience, teamwork, and physical literacy across all age groups. You will play a key role in supporting the school's vision, contributing to pupils' social, emotional and physical development, and strategically enhancing enrichment, sport and wellbeing to deliver an inclusive and inspiring offer for every child.

This is a permanent, full-time role, starting 1st September 2026.
