TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school based in Newcastle, supporting with their search for an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school provides a caring and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs and prides itself on creating a supportive atmosphere where every child is encouraged to thrive both academically and socially.
The school is looking to take on a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting students across a variety of age groups with additional needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD and SEMH, helping to deliver engaging activities while supporting pupils with both their educational and emotional development.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children with SEND / additional needs
A caring and patient nature
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A proactive and adaptable approach
Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD, ADHD or SEMH
