How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Power BI Administrator

    * Inside IR35

    * Up to £580 per day

    * Hybrid working – Birmingham or Sheffield office up to 3 days per week

We are supporting a leading financial services firm in the search for an experienced Power BI Platform Administrator to join a large-scale enterprise data environment. This is a platform-focused role, responsible for the administration, optimisation, and governance of a major Power BI estate supporting approximately 200 dashboards and 2,000+ users across the organisation.

This is not a hands-on dashboard development role. Instead, the successful candidate will take ownership of the Power BI platform, ensuring performance, stability, governance, and best practice across the wider user and developer community.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Administer and optimise the enterprise Power BI platform and tenant

    * Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Fabric CI/CD processes

    * Work with Power BI/Fabric REST APIs to support automation and platform operations

    * Manage permissions, security groups, and workspace access models

    * Monitor and optimise platform capacity using Fabric Capacity metrics

    * Analyse Activity Logs and Log Analytics data for auditing and troubleshooting

    * Proactively identify and resolve platform, usage, and performance issues

    * Support existing developer teams and drive platform best practice adoption

    * Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and contribute to architectural design patterns

    Key requirements:

    * Strong experience administering enterprise-level Power BI environments

    * Deep understanding of Power BI governance, deployment, and platform management

    * Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps, and Power BI REST APIs

    * Strong knowledge of capacity management, security, and workspace governance

    * Experience supporting large user communities and high-volume dashboard estates

    * Excellent stakeholder management and proactive problem-solving skills

    * Previous experience within large-scale enterprise environments, ideally within financial services
