How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Start Date: Immediate Start Available (Subject to Clearance)
    Duration: End of June, with potential extension through to mid-August

    Approach Personnel are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced project at RAF Marham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile MOD project within a secure and professional environment.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme deadlines while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders on site.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Oversee daily site operations, logistics, and subcontractor coordination

    * Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, and MOD/RAF site protocols

    * Monitor project progress, programme milestones, and site performance

    * Maintain high standards of quality control, snagging, and project handover documentation

    * Liaise effectively with clients, RAF representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams

    * Manage permits to work, security procedures, and environmental controls on site

    * Ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification

    Essential Requirements

    * Valid SMSTS certification

    * Valid First Aid at Work certificate

    * Valid CSCS Card

    * Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, fit-out, or civils projects

    * Previous MOD, RAF, or high-security site experience is advantageous

    * Strong understanding of CDM regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and quality standards

    Security Clearance

    Due to the nature of the project and location, security clearance is required. We are looking to appoint immediately in order to begin the clearance process ahead of the project start date.
