How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Primary School, South Birmingham

    Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

    Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    Start Date: September 2026

    Interview Date: Week commencing 1st June

    Your new role
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Resource Base Class Teacher to join a brand-new SEND provision in a Primary School based in South Birmingham, opening in September 2026.
    This role offers the chance to be part of a specialist resource base designed to support pupils with communication and interaction needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You will play a key role in delivering a bespoke, high-quality curriculum tailored to meet the needs of pupils, ensuring they achieve the very best outcomes both academically and socially.

    What you'll need to succeed
    To be successful in this role, you will:

    Be a qualified teacher with experience in primary, early years, or SEND settings
    Have a strong understanding of Autism and communication needs
    Demonstrate a track record of high-quality teaching and inclusive practice
    Be adaptable, resilient and committed to supporting pupils with complex needs
    Have experience (or a strong interest) in working with pupils with EHCPs and differentiated curriculum pathways
    Be confident working collaboratively with support staff, SENCo, parents and external agencies
    Applications are welcomed from both experienced SEND practitioners and mainstream teachers with a passion for SEND.
