How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CAD Technician / Land Survey Support

    Looking for a more office-based role within the surveying industry?

    An excellent opportunity is available for a CAD Technician / Land Survey Support Technician to join a growing and modern surveying company near Wigan. This position is ideal for someone with surveying or CAD experience who enjoys technical drawing and data processing rather than spending long periods out on site.

    Working within a supportive office environment, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality survey drawings and technical outputs for a wide range of projects across the UK.

    The Role

    * Producing accurate CAD drawings from survey data

    * Processing topographical and measured building survey information

    * Supporting survey teams with technical drafting and documentation

    * Assisting with project delivery and drawing revisions

    * Working closely with surveyors and project managers

    * Primarily office-based with limited site work when required

    Requirements

    * Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software

    * Background in land surveying, geomatics, or technical drafting desirable

    * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

    * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

    * Good communication and teamwork skills
