How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client a well known manufacturing business that work within heavy manufacturing are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a leading heavy manufacturing business specialising in the production of pressure equipment and fabricated components. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a strong engineering background to play a key role in maintaining manufacturing standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the production environment.

    The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out detailed inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
    Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation accurately.
    Conduct inspections on pressure equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and associated fabricated components.
    Verify material compliance and maintain an understanding of material specifications and traceability requirements.
    Ensure all inspection activities are completed in line with company quality, environmental, and health & safety procedures.
    Support compliance with management systems including ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards.
    Use a variety of inspection tools and measuring equipment to complete dimensional and visual inspections.
    Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain detailed quality records.
    Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues effectively.
    Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety within the manufacturing environment.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing operations.
    The Ideal Candidate

    Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
    Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    General understanding of pressure equipment manufacture, including pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
    Experience working with quality, environmental, and occupational safety management systems such as ISO 9001:2015.
    Previous experience within manufacturing and inspection roles, ideally within heavy engineering or fabrication.
    Ability to confidently use inspection tools and measuring equipment for detailed inspections
