How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Front End Engineer - Permanent Position
    React/React Native
    Manchester - Hybrid (2 to 3 Days onsite)
    Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare

    We’re currently supporting a PE-backed consumer platform as they continue building out their internal engineering capability following a major shift away from outsourced development.

    The business operates a large-scale rewards and membership platform used by millions of people across the partnering with some of the UK’s best known retail and consumer brands.

    They’re now building several cross functional product squads internally and are looking for Front End Engineer to join one of their Manchester based teams.

    What the role will actually feel like:

    You’ll join one of the newly built product squads helping reshape how millions of members interact with the platform across web and mobile.

    A big part of the role will be improving and rebuilding customer journeys that directly impact engagement, conversion and retention, not just shipping frontend tickets disconnected from the wider product.

    You’ll work closely with Product, UX and Engineering in a genuinely collaborative environment where frontend engineers are involved in conversations around customer behaviour, experimentation and product direction, not just implementation.

    The business is going through a wider platform modernisation, so there’s a mix of:

    * Building new frontend experiences

    * Improving existing journeys

    * Contributing to mobile-first product development

    * Helping shape frontend standards and architecture as the internal engineering capability grows

    They’re looking for engineers who enjoy thinking about:

    * How users actually move through products

    * Performance and responsiveness

    * Clean, scalable frontend architecture
