Steel Detailer – Structural Steel

Recruiting for an experienced Steel Detailer to join a specialist structural steel detailing company delivering high-quality 3D modelling and fabrication drawing packages across a wide range of UK construction projects. Excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Tekla professional to work on varied and technically challenging projects within a growing and well-established detailing team.
Responsibilities
• Produce accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
• Generate detailed GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and full drawing packages.
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications to develop complete steel models.
• Ensure all detailing work meets fabrication and QA standards.
• Raise RFIs and technical queries where additional information is required.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, fabricators, and internal teams.
• Support project delivery from concept modelling through to final issue.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of detailing processes and standards.
Requirements
• Previous experience in structural steel detailing is essential.
• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures required.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Good understanding of fabrication and steel construction processes.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
