How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Freelance Leica Photography Product Specialist will predominately support the Wholesale team delivering customer experiences, workshops, photo walks, sport optics walks, shows, events and in store days. They will have good technical knowledge of photography and sport optics and are a personable, professional, and confident individual responsible for delivering training to retailers and promoting the Leica training platform within our retailer network. The ideal candidate can communicate to retailers and customers in a clear, concise, and professional manner and explain technical information in an understandable way.


    Responsibilities will include:


    • Engaging with retailers through the planning and delivery of workshops, events, webinars, staff training, external training sessions, and related activities.


    • Organising and presenting these initiatives, as well as representing our brand at events and functions, including those held outside normal working hours.


    • Travel throughout the UK to host and support events, deliver in-store demonstrations, photo walks, and workshops designed to drive customer engagement and acquisition.


    The ideal candidate will have strong presentation and communication skills, experience within photography, premium retail, or brand representation, and confidence engaging with both retail partners and end consumers. Previous experience delivering training, workshops, or live demonstrations would be highly advantageous.


    A passion for photography and an understanding of the premium camera market is highly desirable. Knowledge of Leica products and brand heritage would be a distinct advantage.

    • Exceptional approach to customer service, articulate, well-mannered, positive and presentable.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, warm and friendly personality and credible and confident when dealing with the public and retailers.
    • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
    • Passion for photography, the Leica brand and products.
    • Good photography knowledge with the ability to educate and demonstrate products with a commercial mindset (sales focused and target driven).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can think on your feet.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and able to prepare and present PowerPoint presentations with excellent written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of current imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and/ or CaptureOne would be an advantage.
    • Full clean driving licence and transport required.
    • The successful candidate should be highly organised, self-motivated, professional in appearance and communication, and comfortable working independently across multiple locations and event environments.
