How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Counsel | 4PQE+

Global Betting, Gaming & Entertainment Business

We’re partnering with a high-growth, global betting, gaming and entertainment business currently undergoing an exciting phase of international expansion. This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading brand at a pivotal stage of growth, working within a fast-paced and highly commercial environment.

What makes this opportunity particularly exciting is the breadth and profile of the work. The business operates at the intersection of betting, gaming, sport and entertainment, partnering with household-name brands across football, motorsport and wider global sporting markets.

Whether this is your first move in-house from private practice or you are looking to step into a broader and more influential commercial role, this opportunity offers outstanding exposure and progression potential.

You’ll be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking legal team, partnering directly with senior stakeholders across the business and playing a key role in supporting strategic commercial initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

    The Opportunity

This is a broad, hands-on commercial role with significant visibility across the business. You will work closely with teams across technology, marketing, compliance and operations, advising on a wide range of commercial and strategic matters.

The role offers exciting exposure to sports, sponsorship and media-related commercial work, making it particularly attractive for someone looking to work more closely with high-profile sporting partnerships and entertainment brands.

The environment is fast-moving, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative — ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the business and wants to make a tangible impact.

The business operates a hybrid working model of 4 days in the office and 1 day from home, with access to a modern, high-spec office space including an on-site gym and excellent facilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including:
    • Supplier and service agreements
    • Marketing, sponsorship and partnership contracts
    • Technology, SaaS and platform agreements
    • Data protection and privacy-related documentation
    • Advise on customer-facing terms and digital products
    • Partner closely with stakeholders across marketing, tech and compliance
    • Support on regulatory, advertising and consumer law matters
    • Assist on strategic business initiatives, including potential M&A activity
    • Contribute to improving legal processes, contract management and operational efficiency

    About You

    • England & Wales qualified with c.4PQE+
    • Trained and qualified at a recognised City law firm
    • Strong academic background
    • Strong grounding in commercial contracts gained within private practice
    • Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
    • Confident operating within a fast-paced and evolving business environment
    • Interest in betting, gaming, sport, entertainment or digital sectors is advantageous

    Why This Role?

    • Rare opportunity to join a scaling international betting and gaming business
    • Exposure to high-profile sports, sponsorship and entertainment-related work
    • Opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and influence business strategy
    • Excellent platform for a first move in-house or a step-up role within industry
    • Modern office environment with strong culture and on-site facilities
    • High-growth business with genuine long-term progression opportunities

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a genuine commercial impact whilst working on exciting, fast-paced matters within a growing international business, I’d love to speak.
