We are working with an excellent religious organisation based in the heart of North London to recruit for a Strategic HR Business Partner. You will act as the primary HR contact for a portfolio of communities or departments, working closely with range of internal stakeholders. You will provide proactive, values-led people support — enabling local leadership, identifying emerging needs and enhancing the employee and volunteer experience. This is not a transactional HR role; specialist teams manage recruitment and employee relations, allowing you to focus on building trusted relationships and driving cultural alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a visible, trusted HR partner across your assigned communities or departments
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Community leaders and internal stakeholders
- Provide guidance on core people processes, including induction, appraisals, feedback, team development and wellbeing
- Offer light-touch coaching to support leadership capability and confidence
- Ensure alignment with organisational values, safeguarding standards and a culture of dignity and care
- Act as a bridge between central HR and local communities, sharing insights and enabling joined-up working
- Support informal people matters and escalate formal issues to the Employee Relations team as appropriate
- Contribute to recruitment processes where required, in partnership with the Talent Manager
- Strengthen trust in HR through clear communication, professionalism and active listening
- Line manage the HR Admin partner to provide direction, support and development
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- CIPD level 7
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or Business Partner, ideally within a complex or community-focused environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build trust and influence stakeholders
- Proactive, practical and emotionally intelligent approach
- Comfortable supporting a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and Rabbinic couples
- Ability to operate with sensitivity in a faith-based setting, balancing support with professional boundaries
- Well-organised, values-driven and aligned with a people-first approach
Location: North London
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week on site)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Length: permanent
Salary: £53,500 per annum + excellent benefits
