How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal operations professional to take on a strategic role within SHEIN’s international legal function. This role is designed for someone with strong legal, operational, and project management capabilities who is passionate about building and scaling a modern, technology-enabled legal team within a fast-growing international business.

The Legal Operations Lead will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across SHEIN’s international legal teams by designing and implementing scalable processes, improving legal service delivery, supporting legal technology and innovation initiatives, enhancing knowledge infrastructure, and strengthening cross-functional coordination across jurisdictions.

The successful candidate must be highly commercial, operationally sophisticated, enthusiastic about process efficiency and innovation, comfortable navigating complexity, and able to work effectively across international and cross-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Group’s legal leadership team to develop and implement agile, scalable, and coherent legal operations strategies, processes, and practices that improve efficiency, consistency, and performance globally.
    • Lead process mapping, workflow optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across legal functions, identifying operational friction points and implementing sustainable solutions.
    • Serve as a strategic liaison between subject matter experts teams, regional legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational priorities are aligned with business growth and governance objectives.
    • Partner with internal technology, IT, security, procurement, and compliance teams to deploy, optimise, and govern legal technology solutions, including contract lifecycle management, automation tools, collaboration platforms, and AI-enabled legal support tools.
    • Drive adoption of legal innovation initiatives by developing implementation plans, training programmes, workshops, and feedback loops to ensure effective user engagement and measurable operational benefits.
    • Support international Legal team in developing metrics, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and case studies to track legal team performance, spend management, operational maturity, and strategic value contribution.
    • Oversee legal knowledge management infrastructure, including templates, playbooks, guidance materials, repositories, and self-service tools to improve scalability and consistency.
    • Support legal budget management, invoice processing, outside counsel management, vendor coordination, and operational controls to improve cost efficiency and governance.
    • Coordinate cross-functional legal projects across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring effective communication, execution discipline, and stakeholder management.
    • Actively identify opportunities to improve legal support models, operational governance, and service delivery capabilities as SHEIN’s business continues to scale globally.
    • Provide practical support on internal legal operational matters including audits, onboarding, systems administration, and process governance where required.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in legal operations, legal project management, process improvement, legal technology, or equivalent roles within reputable law firms, multinational corporations, or fast-paced global businesses.
    • Strong understanding of legal department operational structures, governance frameworks, and best practices for scaling in-house legal teams.
    • Demonstrated experience in legal technology implementation, optimisation, and stakeholder adoption, including workflow, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to drive operational decisions.
    • Experience managing complex, multi-jurisdictional projects with high levels of autonomy, initiative, and accountability.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex operational or legal requirements into practical, actionable business solutions.
    • Professional proficiency in English is essential; Mandarin proficiency would be highly advantageous given SHEIN’s global operating environment.
    • Strong commercial awareness, sound judgment, and ability to balance operational efficiency with legal and regulatory governance requirements.
    • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with strong resilience, adaptability, and execution focus.
    • Law degree, legal training, or prior in-house legal experience would be advantageous but not essential.

    Preferred Attributes

    • Experience within e-commerce, technology, retail, or similarly high-growth international sectors.
    • Familiarity with legal operations methodologies, knowledge management systems, and continuous improvement frameworks.
    • Strong interest in legal innovation, responsible AI governance, and building modern legal service delivery models.
    • Practical, hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking and leadership capability.
