How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Company

    About the Role



    The ideal candidate: An experienced Financial Controller or senior finance professional, ideally from a product-led or FMCG business.



    Responsibilities



    • Delivery of monthly Group accounts including balance sheet and cash flow
    • Ownership of the year-end process, including the external audit, all tax-related matters, and production of the statutory accounts
    • Management, mentoring, and growing of the AR, AP and management accounts teams
    • Management of month-end reporting to Board and Executive Team, overseeing the management accounts team, including detail shop and cost reporting, monthly reviews with budget holders and budget / forecast setting
    • Develop and improve systems, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and profitability within a growing business
    • Managing the relationship with key external stakeholders: investors, banks, insurers, and other key providers
    • Being responsible for all Taxation and VAT matters



    Qualifications



    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)



    Required Skills



    • Technically strong, process-driven, and passionate about systems, automation, and efficiency
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, able to build structure and controls under pressure
    • Commercially astute with excellent Excel and modelling skills
    • Detail-oriented and collaborative, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
    • Confident communicator who can influence across all levels of the business
