How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Procurement – Ambitious Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Direct or Indirect Procurement) – High-Growth Procurement & Consulting Firm – London – up to £60,000 + Bonus + CIPS Support + Fast-Track Progression

My client is a rapidly growing procurement and consulting business that is building a best-in-class Strategic Sourcing function to support an expanding portfolio of major clients across multiple sectors.

Operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and high-performance environment, the business is looking to hire an ambitious Strategic Sourcing Specialist from either a Direct or Indirect procurement background who wants to be part of a genuine growth journey and make a visible impact from day one.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially driven procurement professional looking to accelerate their career within a dynamic scale-up environment, where high performers are recognised quickly and progression is based on merit rather than tenure.

The successful candidate will work directly with senior procurement leaders and founders, receiving hands-on mentorship, exposure to major sourcing projects and a clear pathway into leadership as the business continues to expand.

The firm is specifically open to candidates with experience across either:

    • Direct Procurement / Strategic Sourcing categories
    • or
    • Indirect Procurement / Corporate Services categories

Candidates who have come through structured graduate schemes or procurement development programmes would be viewed particularly favourably, although this is not essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement activity across a range of Direct or Indirect spend categories
    • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts with key vendors and stakeholders
    • Running RFIs, RFPs and complex tender processes from inception through to award
    • Supporting supplier strategy, commercial negotiations and procurement transformation initiatives
    • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers in a highly collaborative environment
    • Helping shape procurement processes, governance and best practice as the business scales
    • Working closely with senior leadership, gaining direct exposure to strategic business decisions and growth plans

    Required Experience & Skills:

    • Procurement or Strategic Sourcing experience across either Direct or Indirect categories
    • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating supplier contracts
    • Exposure to RFIs, RFPs and end-to-end sourcing projects
    • Candidates from graduate schemes, procurement academies or structured development programmes are encouraged to apply
    • Degree educated preferred
    • Ambitious, analytical and highly driven with a proactive mindset
    • Comfortable operating within a fast-moving, evolving and entrepreneurial business environment
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

    Why Apply?

    • Join a genuinely high-growth procurement and consulting business
    • Significant progression opportunities as the company scales
    • Highly entrepreneurial culture with direct access to senior leadership
    • Opportunity to shape processes and make a visible impact early in your career
    • CIPS support provided
    • Broad exposure across strategic sourcing, procurement transformation and supplier management projects
    • London-based with hybrid working flexibility

This role would suit an ambitious procurement or sourcing professional from either a Direct or Indirect background looking to step away from a traditional corporate environment and join a business where they can progress quickly, take ownership and grow alongside the organisation.
