How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Talent 4 Good are supporting a leading private healthcare provider, delivering high-quality, expert-led care across Yorkshire to recruit a Head of Clinical Governance & Quality


    Job Title: Head of Clinical Governance & Quality

    Location: Leeds - Onsite Full time

    Salary: £50,000 - £60,000



    Reporting to the Director of Governance, the position of Head of Clinical Governance & Quality is responsible for providing overall direction for quality, safety and patient experience efforts.


    The Head of Clinical Governance & Quality is responsible for supporting the Director of Governance, Medical Director, Clinical Leadership, and other stakeholders in ensuring quality outcomes, patient safety and patient-centric care. This role is responsible for the oversight of the development and implementation of the integrated governance framework, quality, safety, and patient experience policies and operating procedures.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversees all quality, safety, and regulatory and risk management activities
    • Oversees the implementation of the integrated governance framework in line with the regulatory body –CQC.
    • Line Manager of Governance Team
    • Ensures a safe environment for patients, families and healthcare professionals that meets regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Develops and implements, in cooperation with Nursing and Clinical Operations, patient care policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols and periodically updates them as needed.
    • Ensures the highest quality of professional practice in all clinical and nursing divisions and departments ensures all safety, health and regulatory requirements are met in all areas of responsibilities.
    • Develops and implements systems and protocols to effectively monitor clinical outcomes, safety events and patient experience measures. Leads improvement efforts to improve measures.
    • Provides leadership with in-depth knowledge of national and international trends regarding quality, patient safety and experience.
    • Responsible for maintaining compliance as governed by UK statutory and regulatory bodies including Care Quality Commission (CQC), the Information Commissioner Office (ICO), Public Health England and Health & Safety Executive (HSE)


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Extensive experience in quality & governance leadership.
    • Extensive line management experience
    • Experience of managing CQC inspections
    • Proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” following a CQC inspection
    • Registered Healthcare Professional
