How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commodity markets analytics professional to join a fast-growing and highly data-driven business in a newly created leadership role.

    This position will play a pivotal role in shaping and launching a new analytics offering focused on global commodity and energy markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the analytical vision, developing market-leading products and building scalable analytics capabilities that support both commercial and trading-related decision making.

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    • Lead the development and execution of the company’s commodity market analytics strategy and product roadmap
    • Build and launch innovative analytics products and market intelligence solutions for commodity market participants
    • Develop AI-enabled analytical capabilities that combine market expertise with scalable technology solutions
    • Translate complex commodity pricing and trade data into actionable insights and commercially valuable products
    • Work closely with data science, pricing, commercial and product teams to deliver analytical tools and market solutions
    • Oversee the full product lifecycle from idea generation and prototyping through to testing, launch and continuous improvement
    • Support the development of forecasting models, analytical frameworks and data-driven market intelligence capabilities
    • Engage directly with clients and market participants to understand workflows, requirements and evolving market needs
    • Partner with commercial teams to support product positioning, client retention and business growth initiatives
    • Build and develop an analytics function over time, including hiring and mentoring specialist talent
    • Act as a senior representative of the business externally through client engagement and industry interaction
    • Ensure analytical outputs maintain high levels of quality, reliability and commercial relevance


    Key Skills & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of commodity and energy markets, including physical trading dynamics and pricing structures
    • Deep analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex market and trade data
    • Experience developing analytical products, market intelligence tools or data-driven solutions
    • Strong understanding of market fundamentals, benchmarks and pricing methodologies
    • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify client needs and translate them into scalable products
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and commercial audiences
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, commercial, data science and engineering teams
    • Understanding of AI technologies, analytics platforms and modern data environments
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to operate hands-on in a growing and evolving business
    • Leadership capability with experience or potential to build and develop high-performing teams
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment


    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Deep experience within commodity markets, energy trading or commodity analytics
    • Strong understanding of physical market fundamentals and pricing mechanisms
    • Experience producing high-quality market analysis, research or trade intelligence
    • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to engage credibly with traders and senior stakeholders
    • Exposure to analytics product development, data platforms or AI-driven analytical tools
    • The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a growing business

    Previous experience within a commodity trading house, price reporting agency, energy company or financial institution would be highly advantageous.

    The role offers significant ownership, visibility and long-term progression, alongside the opportunity to genuinely shape the direction of a growing analytics function from the ground up.
