How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quantity Surveyor – Residential & Commercial - Central London

    £65,000 - £80,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Pension Contribution + Private Medical + Travel Allowance + Annual Leave


    O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a major hybrid developer/main contractor delivering high-profile residential and commercial developments across London. They are seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to join their Central London commercial team due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline.


    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering a diverse range of schemes across both the residential and commercial sectors, offering strong progression opportunities and exposure to complex city-based developments.

    Responsibilities


    • Commercial management of multiple subcontract packages valued above £1m
    • Procurement and management of subcontractors through to final account
    • Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
    • Contract administration and change management under JCT forms of contract
    • Working closely with project and design teams across residential and commercial schemes


    Requirements


    • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or developer/main contractor environment
    • Strong understanding and experience administering JCT contracts
    • Experience managing multiple subcontract packages in excess of £1m
    • Residential and/or commercial project experience preferred
    • Strong commercial reporting and stakeholder management skills
