How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

It requires a start-up mindset within a mature business environment, with a strong focus on experimentation, optimisation, and delivery at pace. Some Adult advert included.

    Key Responsibilities

    Acquisition Strategy and Ownership
Build and maintain a long-term acquisition roadmap across paid search and social, SEO, AEO, programmatic, affiliates, creator-led, offline, and emerging discovery platforms.
Define audience segmentation strategies and growth hypotheses to improve efficiency and scale.
Own channel mix decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance optimisation.
    Execution and Optimisation

Lead day-to-day execution of acquisition campaigns across digital and offline channels.
Use A/B and multivariate testing to optimise landing pages, messaging, bidding strategies, and conversion funnels.
Drive improvements in CTR, conversion rate, ROAS, and LTV to CAC ratios.
Implement structured experimentation frameworks, documenting learnings and scaling successful initiatives.
Take full ownership of the acquisition budget, ensuring strong ROI.
Champion the use of AI and automation to increase efficiency and scale.
    SEO and AEO Leadership

Oversee technical SEO, content strategy, backlink acquisition, schema optimisation, and adaptation to search and AI-led discovery evolution.
Ensure the platform is optimised for both traditional search engines and generative AI environments.
Line manage and work closely with the SEO and AEO Manager on strategy, roadmap, and performance.
    Analytics and Reporting

Define success metrics and build dashboards to track performance across all acquisition channels.
Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and optimisation opportunities.
Present clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership, including CAC, ROAS, and funnel performance.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Brand, Product, Technology, BI, and Data teams to optimise messaging, user journeys, attribution, and conversion flows.
Represent Marketing in cross-departmental discussions when required.
    Innovation and Market Awareness

Evaluate and implement new acquisition tools, platforms, and ad formats.
Explore emerging channels such as AI search engines and creator-led acquisition.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
    Skills and Experience Required

Proven experience in acquisition, growth, or performance marketing within a digital or online marketplace environment.
Strong expertise across paid media, SEO, AEO, experimentation, and funnel analytics.
Experience building acquisition engines from scratch or scaling channels rapidly.
Highly analytical with strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset with comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Leadership experience managing and developing small, performance-focused teams.
Marketplace or classified platform experience is desirable.
Must be open minded as adult adverts are included
