How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We currently have a great opportunity for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team at our BPX Southampton Branch (SO50 4NU). We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person to join our friendly team. This is a full-time, permanent role where continuous training and development will be provided.

    The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative Opportunity:

    As our delivery driver/warehouse operative you will be responsible for local-drop deliveries to our customers. In addition, you may be required to support the warehouse team in assisting with incoming deliveries and outgoing order picking.

    The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative main duties will include:

    Delivering local-drop orders to our customers using our company van
    Ensuring the van is kept roadworthy by reporting any accidents or repairs
    Any other duties requested by the Manager.
    Delivering excellent customer service, following BPX standards
    Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results
    Picking, processing and preparing orders, ready for delivery
    Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsDelivery Driver/Warehouse Operative Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

    To join our team we are looking for a person who:

    Has experience of working in a warehouse and local-drop deliveries
    Has an outgoing, positive and professional attitude
    Has good day to day planning capabilities, this will be essential for the candidate to be successful in this role
    Is able to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments
    Is conscientious with good attention to detail
    Trustworthy and reliable at all times
