We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer & CNC Programmer to join a growing precision engineering business supporting high-specification aerospace and defence projects.
This is a hands-on role focused on new product introduction, process optimisation, and the generation of CNC programmes for 3, 4 and 5-axis machine tools.
CNC Programmer - Key Responsibilities
Create and prove CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software.
Develop manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, and production routings.
Produce setup sheets, tooling plans, and process documentation.
Support new product introduction and process validation activities.
Work closely with Quality and Production teams to ensure robust process control.
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, cost reduction projects, and productivity improvements.
Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.CNC Programmer - Requirements
Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
Proven experience within a precision engineering manufacturing environment, ideally aerospace or defence.
Strong understanding of machining processes including milling and turning.
Experience generating CNC programmes for 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machine tools.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of AS9100 and lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software desirable.
Green Belt and project management experience advantageous.CNC Programmer - What We Offer
