How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Overview

Our client is delivering large-scale industrial construction projects across the UK and Europe and is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of high-value developments across sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

This is a senior site-led role with full responsibility for programme delivery, operational performance, and project execution. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments where delivery schedules are demanding and strong leadership is essential.

This role is particularly suited to experienced leaders from construction, engineering, infrastructure, or ex-military operational leadership backgrounds who are accustomed to managing large teams, complex programmes, and high-pressure delivery environments.

    The Role

You will take ownership of major construction projects from early design coordination through to final completion and handover.

    Responsibilities will include:

    - Leading the delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects

    - Managing multiple workstreams across civils, structural, and MEP packages

    - Driving programme performance and ensuring key milestones are achieved

    - Leading site teams, subcontractors, and delivery partners

    - Maintaining standards across safety, quality, and operational delivery

    - Acting as the key interface between the client, consultants, and project delivery teams

    - Resolving issues proactively to maintain project momentum and programme performance

    What We’re Looking For

    - Proven experience delivering large-scale industrial or mission-critical construction projects

    - Strong background in fast-track or high-pressure delivery environments

    - Confident leadership style with the ability to manage and challenge teams effectively

    - Strong understanding of programme management, sequencing, and project delivery

    - Demonstrable track record of delivering projects to programme and quality standards

    - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    Ideal Backgrounds

This opportunity would particularly suit Ex-military candidates with experience in operational leadership roles involving programme delivery, logistics, engineering, or infrastructure management, including those experienced in:

    - Large-scale construction or infrastructure delivery

    - Defence infrastructure or operational programmes

    - Engineering project leadership

    The Environment

This is a demanding delivery environment where accountability, pace, and performance are critical.

You will be trusted to take ownership, make decisions quickly, and lead from the front to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

    The Opportunity

    - High-profile industrial construction projects

    - Strong financial package and long-term progression opportunities

    - Exposure to complex, high-value developments across critical sectors

    - Opportunity to move into wider strategic leadership roles

    How to Apply

If you have experience leading complex projects in demanding environments and are looking for your next leadership opportunity, we would welcome your application.
